Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking 5 Software Engineer 5's for a contract opportunity in Oklahoma City, OK.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads activities to develop, document and maintain complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system. Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities. Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics. Leads software research and development projects. Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards. Trains and mentors others. Works under consultative direction.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
Required STEM degree
o C++ or Ada experience
o Experienced with Agile methodologies
o Willing to relocate to Oklahoma City
o If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
o Used and worked with any Atlassian tool. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
o Working Knowledge of CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture)
o Extensive C++/Ada/Java experience
o Link-11/Link-16/Link-22 software implementations
-Link11 / Link16 experience, preferably C2 (Command and Control)
-MIDS (Multifunctional Information Distribution System) or STT (Small Tactical terminal) experience, either LVT or JTRS for MIDS, but understands even at a 50,000 ft level how the networks fit together.
o Integration of Communications Systems
-Military radios worked with: ARC-204, ARC-210, RT-651, TSM
-Message protocols familiar with: TCP/IP, UDP, RS-23, MILSTD-1553

COMM EXPERIENCE:

DLI EXPERIENCE:
- Link11 / Link16 experience, preferably C2 (Command and Control), so... AWACS, JSTARS
- MIDS (Multifunctional Information Distribution System) or STT (Small Tactical terminal) experience, either LVT or JTRS for MIDS, but understands even at a 50,000 ft level how the networks fit together.
- Working Knowledge of ADA95, C++, Java Version control tools worked with which one have they used. Have they used Git?

EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
