Chipton-Ross is seeking a Computer Systems Architect 3 for a contract opportunity in Dulles, VA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cloud Infrastructure Lead to support delivery of Satellite Ground Systems solutions into contractor and customer environments.
In this role you will:
o Lead a team of DevOps Automation Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers and System Administrators to build and deploy a complex software ground system in customer environments
o Work with stakeholders to deliver software solutions onto complex OpenStack and hybrid-cloud systems consisting of 750 to 1500 nodes, deployed in 6+ environments with an eye toward current requirements and future needs
o Automate system deployment, operation, patching, compliance, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling
o Evangelize digital transformation and cloud tooling use both internally within Northrop Grumman and with our customers
o Collaborate with DevOps teams on other similar programs
o Lead program Infrastructure team: play a mentoring role to cross-train, grow technical talent across DevOps team, assist in troubleshooting tasks, and impart vision to team and leadership
o Document procedures to impart consistent, repeatable processes

REQUIREMENTS:
o Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) and 14 years of experience; OR a master's degree and 12 years: OR a PhD and 9 years. Experience can be considered in lieu of degree
o 10+ year(s) of DevOps or software development experience
o 5+ years in a technical leadership role managing technical objectives and Jira metrics reporting
To be successful in this role you should demonstrate most of the following:
o Proven experience working within IT Systems Design, Deployment and Administration, with recent roles in Technical or Team Leadership positions
o Demonstrable experience designing, deploying, and administering cloud-based solutions
o Extensive experience of administration of Linux and Windows Operating Systems within large corporate environments
o Extensive experience of designing, deploying, and troubleshooting IPv4 Networking, including Subnetting, OSPF Routing, VLANs and VPNs
o Experience of automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet or Terraform
o Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times and shifting priorities
o Proven troubleshooting skills and willingness to take on unfamiliar challenges
o 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, & Ansible
o 3+ years of experience in Linux tools/automation and shell scripting
o 3+ years of experience in Python
o 1+ years of experience with OpenStack management
o 3+ years of experience with Docker containerization, Kubernetes (K8s) preferred
o 3+ years of experience with continuous integration/deployment tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
o 3+ years creating, executing, and troubleshooting complex, automated processes used to configure servers and/or deploy code


EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) is required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 work week. 100% On-Site.
