- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Handler for a contract opportunity in Milwaukee, WI.
This position is 100% onsite.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Control the release of raw materials and finished product from Stock room inventory.
o Put away received materials and store appropriately.
o Perform required duties to maintain accurate stock inventory records.
o Check balances and prepare purchase requisitions at material order points.
o Perform cycle counts and ensure inventory accuracy. Correct variances as needed.
o Maintain the 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) program for your area.
o Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in material handling/management as required by the FDA.
o Support the production line through timely delivery of materials via internal orders and/or the kanban loop.
o Submit recommendations to improve the material handling process and record keeping. Report opportunities to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.
o Perform required data entry into ERP system (SAP).
o Responsible for following safety requirements by wearing required personal protective equipment and identifying and eliminating unsafe acts and conditions in the workplace.
o Assist in Shipping and Receiving departments as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o At least 1 year of experience within material handling or a related area.
o Good math and reading skills.
o Strong computer skills.
o Fluent in English (both written and oral).
o Effective communication between both internal and external customers.
o Must pass powered lift training within 3 months of hire.
o Ability to be standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods of time.
o Capable of handling boxes and loads of material up to 40 lbs.
o Behavior skills and abilities:
o Ability to work under minimal supervision.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
o Ability to manage time and prioritize critical priorities.
o Team player who possesses outstanding customer service skills and is self-motivated.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
o SAP experience.
o Previous experience operating powered lift equipment such as forklifts.

Full-Time
1st Shift Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
