Chipton-Ross is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Uses computational methods and tools in a specialized field (strength of metallic and composite structures, finite element analysis, fatigue and damage tolerance, etc.). Performs pre-dimensioning computations by implementing analytical or digital computation methods and pass judgement on the credibility of the data received and the results obtained. Take part in drawing up the measurement plan applicable to the tests, and analyses the results.

REQUIREMENTS:
Required experience with structural mechanics simulation software. Familiarity and experience with other FEA tools such as NASTRAN, other pre/post processor software such as Altair HyperMesh, as well as knowledge of MIL-HDBK-5 is also required. Candidate must have working knowledge/experience with Computer Aided Design software tool CATIA V5 (preferred) as well as PRO Engineer / Wildfire 4. Candidate must be capable of interpreting detail, assembly, and installation type drawings.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's Degree.
