Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Design and Analysis Engineer 4's for a contract opportunity in Everett, WA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Makes recommendations for technology investments.
o Develop and validate hardware and software system functional and software requirements
o Support the design of hardware, software and interface specifications
o Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
o Develop tests to evaluate system
o Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
o Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
o Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs
o Lead development of key certification deliverables
o **Prime author/ integrator/ contributor supporting systems safety FHA/ SSA deliverables and related analyses**
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or higher in an ABET accredited course of study in engineering, computer science or related field.
5+ years of experience in Avionics engineering.
3+ years of experience working with multiple internal or external stakeholders (i.e. business partner, customer, Finance, suppliers) in planning and executing projects.
Minimum 10 yrs. experience in systems and avionics engineering.
Flight Management experience - Guidance, Navigation, Datalink.
Thrust Management experience...
Experience with Systems testing, data analysis
Experience with Avionics Architecture, DO-178C avionics experience, DAL A or B systems.
Airplane safety analysis - system safety analysis (FHA, FTA, FMEA).
Development Assurance - ARP4754A.
Certification Expertise: E-UM credentials.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in electrical, aerospace and computer engineering is preferred.
Avionics, Systems Engineering and/or FMS familiarity.
10+ years of system engineering or project management experience.
10+ years of experience in aerospace industry with Avionics, Flight Management System and Electrical Systems.
Experience working in development programs and developing avionics system requirements.
Experience as a technical lead.
Experience with hardware and software design.
Experience with model based development tools.
Experience working with cross functional teams.
Previous aerospace work experience.
Piloting experience (private/commercial pilot's license).
Familiarity with engineering processes and methods.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Knowledge of FAA / EASA certification.
Strong passion or interest in aviation and space.
Microsoft Flight Simulator/VATSIM experience (yes, the game).
EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/ first Shift
7 am - 3:30 pm
MISCELLANEOUS:
Onsite
Full time preferred but part time would be considered depending on qualifications.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
