Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II for a contract opportunity in Archbald, PA.

This position is 100% onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary focus will be on the design and analysis of packaging of electrical equipment and control, but may also include aerospace hardware. Responsibilities will include working on a team of engineering personnel (System Engineer/Tech lead, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Test Engineering, and Design & Drafting) to conceptualize, detail design, analyze, and document specialized hardware designs. The job may also require the design and documentation of custom test equipment. Candidate must possess excellent communication and social skills to work on an integrated product team, write technical documents, and interact with other engineers, technicians, subcontractors, customers, and vendors. Conduct design trade studies using simulation tools in order to evaluate system performance and provide recommendations to the design team is also a plus.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
The position requires the candidate to have working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
GD&T experience required.
Occasional travel may be required.
CREO modeling experience required.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate must have a preferred to have CREO modeling and analysis experience or training and must be able to work with general direction.

EDUCATION:
Accredited BS/MS in either Mechanical or Aerospace engineering


WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
4/10 work schedule
Candidate may be required to work more than 40 hours a week on occasion and on short notice.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
