Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking two Electronics Engineer 3's for a contract opportunity in Woodland Hills, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Create specifications to procure aircraft and space grade level parts as required
o Review changes to existing specifications such as design changes, materials and processes changes
o Screen, review, and understand requirements created using Program documentation; flow down requirements as specified in Statement of Work, Program Parts Materials and Processes Plans (PM&P), department standards and military standards.
o Assist in component selection utilizing program and department section lists; minimize redundant part creation; drive standardization; introduce, review, and qualify new technologies.
o Support Global Supply Chain (GSC) as required for various supplier issues.
o Support Alert board in creating Alerts and Information Bulletins (IB) dispositioning GIDEPS and other industry problem notifications.
o Collaborate with other Hardware Engineering functional organizations, Manufacturing Engineering, Factory Operations, Mission Assurance, Supply Chain and Program Management.
o Perform data reviews of incoming components
o Work in a highly creative environment with developing new emerging technologies and processes.
o Take the initiative and represent hardware engineering on space and military products with internal and external customers
o Thoroughly understand applicable MIL STD
o Mentor junior engineers
o Provide quick response support to address production line issues
o Take on additional responsibilities outside of Electronic Component Engineering

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's of Science in a STEM discipline; 3 years of experience with Masters, 0 years with a PhD
o Thorough understanding of applicable component MIL-STD, electronic piece-parts (resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, transistors, and diodes)
o Demonstrated exceptional planning skills (tracking and creating burn down charts, reporting internally and externally) and able to represent the component engineering group at high level meetings
o Self-motivated; highly responsive with a strong drive to solve problems, meet commitments and close tasks
o Selection and tracking of electronic components through contacting the OEM (and vendors) and through their website
o Familiarity with Altered Item Drawings-- SCD, SID drawings for microcircuit, hybrid, discrete semiconductor and passive components
o Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Acrobat Professional, ERP, and PLM

EDUCATION:
Bachelors in Science required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 work week. 100% On-Site.
