- Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Test & Evaluation Engineer 3's for a hybrid (remote/onsite) opening in Seattle, WA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The complexity of our engineering architecture and program management system requires employees willing to be creative, drive new methods and take on significant responsibilities. If you are intrigued by the opportunity to lead that evolution of our system while performing an engineering integration role, we need you. You will shape our future and strengthen our overall approach. You will be part of a cross functional team developing and integrating requirements, creating solutions, program plans and leading implementation. This role will also be part of leading change on how we validate test requirements. You will be accountable to Value Stream Leaders and Test Program Managers and be viewed as a test program technical architect and integrator.
o Partners with airplane design engineering counterparts to co-lead the development of test requirements.
o Leads Cost-Effective Verification and Validation methods.
o Applies lessons learned to the improvement of test procedures.
o Guides teams that design test hardware, software and systems to achieve test program objectives.
o Oversees debriefing of the test team.
o Leads the analysis, processing and formatting of data to customer requirements.
o Provides oversight on test program deliverables to customer.
o Lead execution of Test Program management best practices.
o Works cross-functionally to support BT&E Lab Test NW program/project plan and integrate with key stakeholders.
o Develop Baselines and Manage Change to SOW, Requirements, Cost, Schedule, RIO, Parts Plan.
o Lead development and approval of Estimates/Proposals
o Manage communications of plan and performance to plan across stakeholder teams and up-and-out with stakeholder leadership..
o Facilitate battle-rhythm with execution teams to drive performance to plan.
o Support and contribute to leadership strategy and business operations for Lab Test NW.
o Is proactive, works under minimal direction and trains others.
This position is expected to be onsite, with some work from home possible with demonstrated solid performance. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
o Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
o Willing to travel domestically as needed (with upfront planning).
o 5+ years of experience working in an engineering environment.
o Project management (technical, schedule, and financial).
o Airplane or airplane parts/system level product integration.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
o Business acumen and understanding.
o Earned Value Management (EVM).
o Experience working through the life cycle of a product from concept to delivery.
o Working level knowledge of airplane, airplane parts/systems; one or more of the following - aerodynamics, structures, navigation, flight controls, engines, electrical power, cabin systems and interiors, hydraulics, fuels etc.
EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. (e.g. Bachelor and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience such as PhD, Master + 3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
FULL-TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 8 AM - 4 PM
MISCELLANEOUS:

Travel Required-Domestic travel = 10% or less
Onsite/hybrid-3-5 days onsite.
