Chipton Ross is seeking 3 Form Operators for a direct position in Nashville, TN.
SUMMARY:
This occupation requires the science of forming various metals, such as extrusions and sheet metal by methods of peening, saturation peening, and hot forming and as well as hand forming.
Work Performed
Set up and operate various power and manual fabrication machines, such as shot peen creasing, hot form, and arbor press to meet engineering specifications. Finishes parts that are partially formed by other operations.
Calculates the areas of the parts requiring bending to overcome spring back. Metal tag parts as required.
Performs duties incidental to the accomplishment of the assigned task.
Uses such typical equipment as lift truck, crane, and scooter to load, move, unload, and position tools, parts, or materials.
Computer proficiency to navigate systems for labor charging, access work instructions, record completion of work, TC1, MES, PII's, etc.
Each employee will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and housekeeping in his work area as directed as well as assuring the accuracy of their work.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have two (2) years shot peening or saturation peening and/or 2 years of other metal-forming experience.
EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
1st Shift, must be able to work OT and possible Saturdays.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
