- Chipton Ross is seeking a Tester 1 for a contract opportunity in Hawthorne, CA
" Electrical testing of sealed relays utilizing test jigs/fixtures and programmable test equipment all driven by process specification and production routers.
" Data entry for labor charging and time keeping.
" Will be cross trained throughout the department as well as other functions as requested by Supervisor.
" Must have good eye-hand coordination/ dexterity to utilize small hand tools under a microscope and/or to be able to load relays into a test jigs/fixtures.
" Work as a team as well as individually.
" Must have basic computer skills to make daily data entries for labor charging and operation data entry for inventory control
" Must be able to read and write English, be able to perform simple calculations
" Must be able to interpret specifications/procedures/drawings, operation travelers and safety guidelines with the ability to common sense understanding to carry out the instructions
" Must have good oral and written communication skills to keep colleagues and Supervisor informed of progress or issues and to maintain documentation current
" Must be motivated to learn and be able to cross-trained on other functions and equipment.
Will occasionally need to stand, walk, talk/hear for instructions, feel/ reach with hands and arms, carry or lift up to 25 lbs.
Visually be able to use close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), use distant vision (clear vision at 20 ft or more), be able to determine depths (3D vision with ability to judge distance or spatial relationships), and adjust focus (adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus) as needed.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
