Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a System Administrator 3 for a contract opportunity in Berkeley, MO.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture. Provides problem resolution and technical support for delivery systems. Provides support for the design, validation and configuration management of computing delivery systems. Administers users system access and works to protect information to meet security requirements. Monitors system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Provide comprehensive end-to-end computing support in closed environments from desktops to/and servers
o Provide broad range of basic systems and application support, patch management
o Administer user system access and establishing safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements
o Performs a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities
o Installs, configures and maintains multi-platform systems hardware, software and components
o Performs the restoration of routine to complex computing service operations
o Evaluate and effectively communicate complex system problems and resolutions
o Provide on-site/in-person hardware installation, cabling, and configuration
o Identifies computing requirements and confers on system needs
o Ensures system conforms to architectural objectives
o Build and maintain information systems that comply with Risk Management Framework (RMF) security requirements
o Maintaining awareness of and participating in the planning and execution of upgrades and patches for operating systems and COTS software
o Architect, install, and administer storage, backup, and network infrastructure needs
o The candidate should possess the ability to communicate well at all levels (technical and non-technical)
o Provide comprehensive computing support in isolated environments from the desktops to the servers
o Evaluate and effectively communicate complex system problems and resolution
o Installation and integration of Windows operating systems and related COTS products
o Troubleshooting operating system and installation problems
o Develops documentation of trainer deployments and other processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o Security+ certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements).
o Minimum of 2-years of experience using computing systems at work
o Minimum of 2-years of experience working with or supporting Windows 2016 or greater
o Minimum of 2-years of hardware installation and troubleshooting experience
o Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering Windows Server
o Active Directory (AD): Familiarity with maintaining/configuring AD to include applying domain group policies

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o Windows Operating Systems: Familiarity with the full range of Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems (Server 2003-2016, Windows 7 and 10)
o CompTIA Server+ certified (or similar)
o Experience troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPO)
o Architecture, design, and installation/support experience with Cisco-backed networks.
o Familiarity with Agile or SAFe practices, including daily standup, User Stories, Sprints, and Release Planning
o Experience with writing PowerShell or other scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems

EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
