Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader for a contract opportunity in Hillsboro, OR.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staffing: time-card administration, and OT Management, PTO and tracking overall attendance
oEmployee Development: Individual Development Plans, Providing Coaching and Training
oPerformance Management: updates weekly, daily/hourly production metrics and facilitates regular team meetings
o Facilitating team participationo Resolving production problems
o Conducting performance evaluations
o Giving and receiving employee feedback
o Feedback - Provides written end of shift performance updates to Production Supervisor
o Oversee continuous improvement (PPI) initiatives/activities within the department
o Lead, participate and/or support meetings; monitor project progress, report out on key metrics
o Analyze procedures and production methods to improve quality, costs and/or productivityo Conduct regular audits/GEMBA walks & implement improvements identified
o Define & drive safety initiatives
o Oversee & drive 6S program in areas of ownership
o First line of response for Manufacturing Team when they face equipment failure
o Identify and solve issues with circuit boards, cabling, and vacuum pumps
o Conduct routine preventative maintenance on sophisticated electronics
o Monitor equipment uptime using Key Performance Indicators and preemptively plan/schedule equipment repairs

REQUIREMENTS:
o 2+ years of experience operating a Scanning Electron Microscope, troubleshooting and electronic equipment repair OR a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills
o Experience with low volume, highly complex manufacturing processes
o Demonstrated ability in successfully leading a team of colleagues
o 5+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role
o At least 2 years of validated experience in a job-related industry with proficiency in operating Scanning Electron Microscopes & Mechanical and Electrical complex high-tech equipment repair
o Experience working in the field of Electronics and proficiency in Ultra High Vacuum strongly preferred
o Experience with troubleshooting Scanning Electron Microscopes down to the component level
o Experience in lean manufacturing, 6S and continuous improvement a plus
o Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs a plus (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access) Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
o Ability to lift up to 35lbs
o Ability to use Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Soldering Irons, etc.
o Knowledge of Scanning Electron Microscopes, data acquisition, taking SEM images and measurements
o Knowledge of Electronics Manufacturing, Equipment Repair, High Voltage, and Ultra High Vacuum
o Ability to read work instructions and schematic drawings while performing basic troubleshooting of tools down to the component and software level
o Ability to analyze and address problems independently as well as collaboratively
o Ability to support projects, perform training and work efficiently as part of cohesive teamso Self-motivated, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
o Demonstrated skills in developing subordinates to their best potential. Team building, coaching, and mentoring skills. Conflict resolution
o Proven track record with optimally working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
o Comfortable operating in a cleanroom environment using appropriate PPE
o Strong verbal and written communication skills, successful in partnering with colleagues of differing cultural, language and educational backgrounds.

EDUCATION:
o Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Minimum of a 2-year associate degree in a technical field like Electronic Engineering Technology, Microelectronics or Mechatronics preferred
o Military Technical Training in lieu of a technical degree may also be considered

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
