Chipton-Ross is seeking a System Integration and Test Engineer for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain advanced RF Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) systems, subsystems and components (couplers, attenuators, phase shifters, mixers, filters, isolators, et al.)
• Integrate and Test RF circuits including Upconverters, Downconverters, Local Oscillator Distribution Networks, et al.
• Perform signal integrity measurements using Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes
• Analyze real-time, closed-loop HWIL simulation output and troubleshoot system performance deficiencies
• Perform quick-look analysis and data reduction of HWIL simulation output data
• Manage the repair and/or replacement of RF subsystem components (couplers, attenuators, phase shifters, mixers, filters, isolators, et al.)
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to junior team members.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Expert understanding of RF/Electrical design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
• Experience operating complex RF test equipment including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, et al.
• Working knowledge of copper & fiber ethernet topologies and implementation of time keeping services such as IRIG-B and GPS
• Experience with Configuration and Data Management (CDM) of Hardware and Software
• Willing and able to support working extended shifts to meet mission objectives
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience design and operating real-time, closed-loop RF HWIL simulators
• Experience with GPS simulators (Spirent)
• Experience with Linux
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline

• Master’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
