Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer 2 for a contract opportunity in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Successful candidates will participate in requirements development and maintenance activities. The selected engineer will be experienced working in requirements repositories and model based system engineering. Work on a Node Integration Team that is responsible for being the liaison between design and production. As a part of a Node Integration Team you will work with your team to:
Develop and own cost and cost model for your team's node
Track progress (owns/collects metrics for PDPs)
Responsible for realizing the Node – and owning the integrated node production
Responsible for Design to Kit and Design to Cost
Proactively manage facility/equipment costs (designing to cost)
Own and Define the Drawing Tree
Own and Define the Integrated Node Architecture
Own and Develop Integrated Node CDRs
Own Physical Configuration Audits
Verify Node Intergration requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 2 years’ experience; 0 years’ experience with a Masters’ degree
Ability to derive requirements from high level requirements
Ability to learn requirement management in DOORS
PREFERRED:
Systems Engineering experience, including understanding of the systems engineering V and requirements management in DOORS
Experience with C2, Physical Security, Cybersecurity, and/or Communications systems
Experience developing OPSCONS or CONOPS
Experience in the military aerospace development environment is preferred
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including DODAF, SysML, and Cameo Enterprise Architect
Experience with Agile Development
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's in Science is required.
School must be accredited.
HOURS:
9/80 workweek. 100% On-Site.
MISCELLANEOUS:
