Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity at Altus AFB, OK.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Applies engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to support product support engineering and analysis to ensure supportability, sustainability, reliability, maintainability and operability of products and services throughout its lifecycle. Develops product definition, design and configuration. Defines, evaluates and maintains engineering supportability, operability and maintainability requirements for products, systems and programs. Analyzes data to produce support, flight operation and maintenance equipment requirements. Evaluates engineering changes based on customer requirements and proposes program changes and manages implementation of changes. Plans, researches, develops, analyzes, and designs modification and repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, Safety and company requirements. Establishes planning and design criteria to develop integrated support and maintenance infrastructure. Supports continued airworthiness. Provides engineering and on-site technical assistance to customer’s products including, ground support equipment, training devices, training facilities, operations facilities and maintenance facilities. Coordinates and supports proposal development.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years Aerospace experience
- MS Office including Access
- Virtual machines, and being comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Sound system is a special case in that it’s either Vplus for the SMX or VXWorks for the SND chassis

Must be able to:
o Write code
Primarily: Ada (2012 revision)
Secondary: C/C++.
o Fix errors
o Troubleshoot

EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. (e.g. Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

MISCELLANEOUS:

: Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
