Chipton-Ross is seeking a Design Engineer for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Circuit Card Design Engineer that can produce schematics for either analog or digital circuits for an assembly. Must have experience develop and design mission processor electronics with custom form factors. Performs trade study analysis, tolerance analysis, and various simulations to support the design's accuracy and efficiency. Familiar with signal integrity/power integrity of a design and can ensure a proper layout. The design engineer is responsible for device evaluation and characterization, test box design, prototype construction and checkout, and determination of wafer fabrication processes. Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes equipment to establish operating data and conducts experimental tests; provides finished device approval; and prepares customer application information.The engineer should be capable of designing major components, or major portions of a functional system, or technically advanced prototype, promotional or specific products. Develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Develops basic data and notes necessary to present design proposal. Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost. Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development. Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products. Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning. Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers. Expected to have the capability to lead a small team of other design engineers and communicate effectively with the customers.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED.

SHIFT:
4/10-1st Shift.
