Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking 10 Fabrication Specialist B's for a contract opportunity in Helena, MT.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks. Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains. Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products. Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation. Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proficient with Fanuc and/or Siemens controlled CNC milling machines, CNC lathes & CNC mill-turn machines.
- Performs set-ups and machining on 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC milling machines of production parts for 737, 767, 777 / 777x & 787.
- Hand finish and edge break of aluminum, stainless & titanium production parts.
- Performs production part inspection with all manner of hand inspection tools during production.
- Performs part production using established drawings, specifications and requirements.
- Utilize and follow standardized work and step details required for production parts and assemblies.
- Use BPSM or RPS to support real time problem solving - stop work if / when required to find the true root cause.
- Ensure all parts are inspected prior to closing an operation so we do not pass on any defects to our downstream customers.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to lift up to 35 lbs; Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs; Occasional carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, walking, standing, balancing; Frequent reaching overhead and at or above shoulder; Frequent sitting; Frequent climbing

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient with Fanuc and/or Siemens controlled CNC milling machines, CNC lathes & CNC mill-turn machines.

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in Machining production environment.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Education must be accredited.

FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFTS:
1: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM Monday - Thursday
2: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM Monday -Thursday
3: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Friday - Sunday
4: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Friday - Sunday

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
