- Chipton-Ross is seeking 49 Aircraft Electrical Technicians (Level B), for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Routing of wire harness to supports per blueprint instruction & client specifications for the 787
program.
o Building connectors, splicing wires, crimping, and terminating wires.
o Connectors to receptacles and electronic components.
o Performing repairs, rework processes to incorporate authorized changes outlined by engineering
instructions.
o Fiber optic clean and inspection, light loss testing and installation.
o Bond & Ground including CRNs, jumpers, ground stud installation & resistance testing.
o Verifying installations of assemblies by team members as an "MFPP" Quality delegated MT.
o Inspect to ensure First Pass Quality (FPQ) is attained per engineering drawings and specifications.
o Verify and ensure FAA compliance with Quality Management System.
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o Must have a minimum 1 year of relevant electrical manufacturing and/or aviation experience.
o Suitable candidates will have ONE year of direct Aerospace Systems Experience as a minimum requirement, and preferably have 3 years of solid Aerospace Systems Experience.
o Experience understanding and interpreting detailed written and verbal work instructions and processes.
o Experienced in wire routing
o Experienced in wire dressing
o Experienced in wire hook ups
o Experienced in wire resistance/continuity checks
o Experienced in basic rework (basic wire repair).
EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT
WORK HOURS:
- Ability to work variable shifts - 1st, 2nd 3rd
- Overtime is scheduled based on business needs and may include weekend hours
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
