Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer 1 for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA.
*This position is 100% ONSITE.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in gathering and analyzing requirements for test measurement systems. Assists in the development of test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition to perform the test within the constraints of the test plan. Develops solutions to calibration systems problems. Performs data analysis, develops and utilizes data processing tools. Designs simple component level hardware or software. Uses analytical tools to verify the design. Verifies collection of complete data set. Maintains test logs, prepares simple test reports and archives data. Works under direct supervision.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supporting the certification, configuration, calibration of support test equipment. Supporting automated and manual test execution on spacecraft programs.
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1+ years of experience working in a laboratory environment
• 1+ years of experience with test instrumentation and/or methods
• Ability to work variable shifts and shifted work weeks to meet business demand.
• Knowledge/Experience with RF testing equipment & methodologies.
DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge/Experience with RF testing equipment & methodologies.
• Willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills.
EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
