- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Technician ll for a contract opportunity in East Windsor, CT.
The Manufacturing Technician will safely and efficiently produce high-quality products, while meeting the established production schedule for Gas Analysis Systems and modules to achieve production goals relative to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
o Assemble all levels of subassemblies to meet quality and productivity standards.
o Test and calibrate assemblies to meet quality standards.
o Troubleshoot assemblies.
o Material handling and inventory verification.
o Prepare tested assemblies for customer.
o Contribute to process documentation
o Detail the critical aspects of each production run.
o Manage of raw materials and inventory in a Kanban system.
o Using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
o Involvement in process development and occasional assistance in other work cells
o Other duties as assigned.
o Mechanical assembly, especially very small hardware and optical components
o Experience with various hand tools
o Familiar with use of glues and epoxies
o Alignment of optical components (A critical eye and precise attention to detail)
o Good understanding of computers and software
o Ability to read and accurately follow Standard Operation Procedures.
o Basic mathematical skills
o Punctual and dependable, consistently arriving to work on time and ready to work.
o Good organizational and interpersonal skills for working effectively in a team environment.
o A desire to identify and implement continuous improvements.
o Ability to routinely lift 40-50 lbs.
Accredited Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
A two-year associate degree in electronics or similar field preferred
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
