Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electrical Design and Analyst Engineer 4 for a hybrid (remote/onsite) opportunity in Oklahoma City, OK.
Must be local to OKC - Hybrid - M&W remote; T, W, TH work onsite.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
B52 CERP Program.
Leads analysis of customer and system requirements and development of architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products. Leads development of high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications. Leads reviews of testing and analysis activity to assure compliance to requirements. Identifies, tracks and statuses technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements. Leads activities in support of Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services. Coordinates engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product. Plans research projects to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. Works under minimal direction.
Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.
Develop requirements management processes and tools and investigate actions necessary for requirements definition and flow-down improvement.
Perform and document design of complex electronic and electrical solutions ranging from Circuit Card Assemblies to Box-Level Assemblies in models and tools while guiding less experienced engineers in development and performance of the designs.
Develop certification criteria and methods with regulatory agencies.
Lead, organize and resolve cross-divisional problems to provide technical assistance to internal/external customers.
Assure cost, time effective, creative solutions and disposition of issues to assure customer satisfaction.
Perform a wide variety of complex trades studies to meet program requirements.
Lead work to modify, test, and validate that hardware and software system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
Lead the review of supplier and partner qualification data, the development of enclosure and LRU Design, and the Analysis of custom manufacturing as well as integration of COTS components within the design.
Lead activities in support of Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services.
Support project management by tracking and reporting project status, by generating bids and requirements, and by providing work statement, budget, and schedule.
Other job responsibilities may include:
Lead analysis of customer and system requirements and development of architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products.

Identify, track, and status technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements.
Plan research projects to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
Develop automated test equipment to support aircraft test requirements.
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
Must have previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
Must have at least 3 years of Experience in analyzing and translating requirements into system architecture, hardware and/or software design and interface specifications.
Must have at least 3 years of previous experience with DOORS Requirements Management Tool or similar.
Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time as required.
Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.
Previous experience in Circuit design, including some of the following:
Embedded processors
High end FPGAs, SOC FPGAs, state-of-the-art memory devices
Standard communications and storage protocols
Low power FPGAs, CPLDs
Power sequencing, monitoring, management
Previous experience with developing and coordinating supplier design requirements
Previous experience with system and circuit level fault isolation
Previous experience with box level and card level test planning and procedures
Experience with MS Office tool suite
Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
13 or more years' related work experience (Consultant Level).
An ABET accredited Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a Master's/PhD in electrical engineering.
Knowledge of digital signal processing.
Familiarity with Software tools: LTSpice, System Vision, PSPICE, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Mentor DX Designer and Expedition.
EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics or physics. (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 9X80
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM - Possibility of working OT.
