Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 4 for a contract/hybrid opportunity in Hazelwood, MO.

*This position is HYBRID, 3 days on site per week required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems. Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system. Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities. Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools, and metrics. Plans, executes, and documents software research and development projects. Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations. Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards. Works under minimal direction. Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs)
o Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings
o Facilitate PI planning events
o Assist tracking the execution of features and capabilities
o Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings
o Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
o Assure the correct individuals on the ART own, mitigate, and communicate issues and risks
o Escalate and track impediments
o Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
o Encourage collaboration between teams and System Architects/Engineering
o Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
o Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the DevSecOps and Release on Demand competency
o Work with enterprise agile centers of excellence
o Drive relentless improvement
o Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o 3 or more years of experience with Scaled Agile Framework enterprise (SAFe) or Agile in general
o2 or more years of experience acting in agile (SCRUM) leadership roles of Product Owner and/or Scrum Master

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o 2 or more years of experience in embedded software development

EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
