Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Control Technician for a contract opportunity in Florence, SC.

SUMMARY:
Assists and supports Quality Control laboratory operations by daily housekeeping of the laboratories including glassware washing/stocking, reagent/consumable ordering, maintaining lab chemical inventory, maintaining laboratory stock, working to ensure all the laboratories are in compliance with safety and regulatory rules, preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and Environmental Health & Safety requirements
o Performs laboratory glassware washing/drying/stocking
o Order, and maintain, laboratory reagent/consumables stock and inventory
o Independently organize workspace and lab areas for maximum efficiency (5S)
o Assist with sample send-outs to external laboratories
o Assist with waste disposal of satellite solid waste containers and liquid waste containers
o Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment
o Work alongside scientists in nonGMP and GMP setting
o Assist Lab Manager
o Actively engage and assist coworkers to become a valuable team member
o Perform all required documentation work
o Perform tasks in a proactive manner
o Maintain work areas and laboratory spaces in a clean and compliant manner
o Adapt schedule and priorities to meet business needs

REQURIEMENTS:
No prior experiences are required. Experience in a fine chemicals or pharmaceutical laboratory is desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about laboratory locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, crouch periodically, manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-25 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time. Will use safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, nitrile or similar gloves, safety apron, and organic respirator (occasionally).

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
