Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Systems Specialist2 for a contract opportunity at NAS Whidbey Island, WA.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Assists in review of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements to prepare quality assurance plans and tests for hardware and software products, processes and services.
oMaintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed using established procedures.
o Collects and verifies data to support the identification of root cause routine problems. Provides ideas and concepts for corrective action development.
o Supports quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers'' ability to meet program quality requirements.
o Assists with hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements.
o Documents audit results in standard formats. Compiles data and provides recommendations for material review disposition. Works under general supervision.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
o Lift 50 pounds
o Be on feet for multiple hours a day

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o 5+ years' experience as a USN/USMC qualified Electrician with experience troubleshooting, replacing and modifying electrical components/systems on military aircraft.
o 5+ years' experience with Navy Aviation Maintenance Programs regarding 4790.2 requirements
o 5+ years' Quality Assurance Representative experience performing Safety of Flight inspections and conducting work center audits along with program management experience
o 5+ years' experience with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series quality assurance programs such as FOD and Tool Control.

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o Electrical connector repair school.
o 10+ years of experience with F/A-18 QAS, Full Systems QAR, CDQAR or CDI
o Experience with MPA or CNAL audits
o Experience with RCCA, CARs, PQDRs, EIs, Maintenance Mishap Incident Investigations

EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).

TRAVEL: YES
Domestic Travel: Up to 25%

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
