Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Service Technician 3s for a contract opportunity in Layton, UT.
*This position is 100% ONSITE.
SUMMARY:
The Missiles and Weapons Systems (MWS) organization of our client's, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a motivated, talented, and experienced Electrical Technicians to join the Ground-based Missile Defense Ground (GMD) Systems Engineering Team located in Layton, UT, Ft. Greely, AK, or VSFB, CA. The selected candidate will serve as a Ground Systems Electrical Technician supporting the hardware and software installation, integration, and testing effort for the Launch Support System in Layton, UT, or the deployed sites in Ft. Greely, AK and VSFB, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides technical support for maintenance, repair and preventive measures that ensure continued safe and economic operations for customers. Applies technical knowledge to research, develop, test and evaluate operations, support programs, modifications, repairs and technical data. Communicates design and operational issues and concerns with Engineering. Develops in-service correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment. Participates on accident investigation team or support team. Participates in disabled product on-site surveys to assess extent of damage. Adapts existing test procedures, oversees execution of test procedures and coordinates resolution of test anomalies to return products to operational status.
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.
EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.). Education must be accredited.
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
