Chipton-Ross is seeking an Aeronautical Engineer for a contract opportunity in Orlanod, FL.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position will report to the program mechanical analysis lead of a hardware engineering team and be responsible for the thermal analysis/management of new/development and existing hardware. Tasks will include the research and development of viable thermal solutions for systems and components, participation in Design Reviews, the planning-of and conducting of component level thermal testing, and the documentation of analysis and test results. The candidate shall be proficient with relevant analytic tools for thermal analysis and be able to create and correlate analytical models to provide guidance for product development and system performance.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Professional experience, preferably working specifically in a Mechanical Engineering role focused on thermal and/or structural analysis
Experience with FEM solvers, preferably Siemens SimCenter 3D Thermal Suite OR other comparable FEM pre/postprocessors.
Demonstrated thermal test planning and execution skills
Demonstrated strength in thermal analysis with a desire to learn more.
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
Professional, hands-on experience providing dynamics thermal analysis support for product design.
Ability to work with little direction and develop advanced technical principles, techniques, and concepts.
Experience in hardware design and development.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Mature computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited college/university.
