Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer for a contract opportunity in Huntsville, AL.

*This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite*

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Work from engineering concept to final drawings
o Create electrical schematic drawings for PCB/PWBs
o Create PCBs/PWBs - design, parts placement, routing, dimensioning/tolerancing, and drawing generation
o Establish and document complete PCB/PWB specifications. (Need to have good understanding of PCB/PWB fabrication processes and industry standards such as those from IPC)
o Provide technical expertise in selection of PCB/PWB materials and technologies
o Provide technical oversite of PCB/PWB supplier selection, verification, and continuous improvement efforts

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
o Experience in electrical computer aided design (CAD) tools for schematic capture and layout such as Expedition/Mentor Graphics
o Design experience with radio frequency (RF), digital, analog, and/or mixed-signal PCB/PWBs
o High Density Interconnect PCB/PWB design experience
o Experience in selection of advanced PCB/PWB materials and design rules
o Understanding of PCB/PWB manufacturing processes, and experience with PCB/PWB Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) and Design-for-Assembly (DFA) analysis tools and/or processes
o Experience with mechanical CAD tools to facilitate the import/export of mechanical information

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
o Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering.
o Minimum of 1 year of experience with PCB/PWB design
o Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience

EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
