Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Engineer for a contract opportunity in Hilton Head, SC.

• Assure compliance to the quality management system (QMS), program schedule, and certifications.
• Responsible for adhering to quality requirements of customer contracts/orders and compliance to the ISO Quality Management System.
• Technical expertise and skill, which is used to plan, optimize, identify Root Cause and Corrective Action, identify, collect and analyze Manufacturing and Quality Metrics and monitor manufacturing processes required for the production.
• Perform the Quality Control function on incoming, in process and outgoing materials; which include, inspection of opto-mechanical devices and optical components, assuring tolerance of mechanical components.
• Coordinate resolution of supplier problems with the Quality and Engineering departments.
• Assist with internal audits to assure compliance to the quality management system.
• Assist with document control including document releases and updating documentation and records.

• Knowledge of manufacturing tools and principles.
• Knowledge of technical plans, drawings, and models desired.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems a plus.
• Experience with MRP software programs
• Ability to interact with all departments, Vendors/Suppliers, Customers, and Auditors;
• Effective Communication and Time Management
• Attention to Detail
• Effective Problem Solving

Accredited Bachelor's Degree, plus at least 3 years of experience. All candidates must have at least a 4 year degree in Engineering or related field. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience.

9/80 work week

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
