Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Product Repair/Mod Technician C for a contract opportunity at Joint Base Charleston, SC.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Willing and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able enter in confined spaces with an entry opening of 10"X18".
- Experience working from heights & using fall protection equipment with personal weight limitations of 225lb or lower.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years' experience having the ability to read, understand, and interpret basic engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- 3+ years' experience working with aircraft wiring diagrams,
- 3+ years' experience in aircraft repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices
- Electrical background

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Airframe & Powerplant License.
- Prefer knowledge of live aircraft operations, to include pneumatic, hydraulic, avionic, electrical, flight controls, and propulsion systems operations.
- Minimum 3 years C-17 platform experience preferred
- Ability to read, interpret and understand C-17 blueprints and USAF Technical Orders.
- Prefer C-17 multi-system operations, maintenance and repair experience including pneumatic, hydraulic, structural, electrical, and propulsion systems
- Experience with aircraft recovery operations.
- Ability to work safely within complicated schedules and establish criteria and work procedures to achieve a high level of quality, productivity, or service
- Ability to read Aircraft documentation

EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

TRAVEL: YES
Must be willing and capable of travel both domestically and internationally 50% - with short notice and for extended periods, anywhere in the world and for potentially extended periods of time (must obtain and possess current passport).

FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT
WORK HOURS: Must be able to work variable shifts - 1st & 2nd.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
