Chipton-Ross is seeking 25 Flight Readiness Technician Bs for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

Seeking a Flight Readiness Technician to support team based out of San Antonio.

Flight Readiness Technicians perform rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, including, troubleshooting pre and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions for delivery. This position will provide critical production support to the Delivery Center including improving production efficiency, safety and optimizing product quality.

o Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.
o Assists in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and assists in repairing faulty components.
o Assists with pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions.
o Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.
o Verifies the accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection.
o Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery.
o Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives.
o Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

o Must be able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends.
o Minimum 3 months experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations.
o FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.
o The candidate must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds.
o Exposure to noise, working on elevated platforms.
o Use personal protective gear for face, eyes, ears, hand, and arms as required.
o Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
o Read, write, and comprehend the English language.
o Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous material.
o Obtain & maintain training certifications as required to support assignment responsibilities.
o Occasional (1 to 3 hrs.) finger manipulation.
o On occasion, a 2-person lift may be necessary for weights greater than 50 lbs.
o Frequent reaching overhead (3 to 6 hrs.).
o Frequent walking on flat surfaces.
o Frequent standing flat or uneven surfaces.
o Frequent balancing on a ladder, steps, or uneven surfaces.
o Occasional climbing on 3-12 ft ladders or stands.
o Rotation of head/neck, sitting, crawling, squatting, bend/st
o Occasional contact with metals.
o Frequent exposure to noise.
o Successfully completing training is a contingency for this assignment.

o 1+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Minimum 3 months of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.
o Minimum 3 months of 787 Program Experience.
o Familiar with Client Production System.
o Experience with Field/Flight Line Operations.

Accredited education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate). Successfully completing training is a contingency for this assignment.
