Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Scientist I contract opportunity in Sunnyvale, CA.

JOB DESCRIPTION
o Synthesize polymer particles using established chemistries
o Participate in process optimization, development, and scale-ups for routine production
o Perform analytical characterization of polymeric particles using specialty equipment and instrumentation (including ion-chromatography, particle sizing, and surface area instruments)
o Analyze data, derive conclusions, document findings, write SOPs and prepare reports
o Present written and oral reports, and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups with R&D and manufacturing divisions
o Producing many of the resins that are key to the success of Thermo Fisher's Ion Chromatography portfolio
o Follow all EH&S safety requirements, participate in safety improvement activities, and carry out to ISO9001 guidelines and corporate quality policy
o Hands on experience in the Chemistry laboratory & wet chemistry
o Ability to summarize and present experimental results and have excellent verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
o Able to lift the weights up to 40 lbs and meet all physical demands to work in chemical laboratory

EDUCATION
Accredited Bachelor degree

FULL TIME
Monday-Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
