Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Manufacturing Technician 2's for a contract opportunity in Oxnard, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
Swiss-army knife type technician position. Technician could end up performing any number of tasks. Examples of the kind of tasks are as follows: assembling large tooling structures, using two-part epoxies for bonding, assembling small/delicate mechanical flight hardware, working with and assembling composite structures, sewing/stitching mesh fabric.

REQUIREMENTS:
High School Degree or GED
Knowledge and experience with all common mechanical hand tools.
Knowledge and experience with fasteners and torquing mechanical fasteners.
Ability to read and understand blue-print style mechanical drawings.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma/GED required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80A workweek. 100% On-Site. Overtime, weekends, off-hours are all in play. Travel will not be necessary.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
