Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity in Chelmsford, MA.

This position is 100% onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Experience using Microsoft Office products to generate status reports, project plans, work instructions, etc.
o Experience writing, editing and supporting existing software code base (LabVIEW or C).
o Experience in analyzing and resolving problems.
o Experience in managing and prioritizing your own workload that may consist of several tasks at once.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Experience in effectively working on teams.
o Candidate must be able to obtain a secret security clearance and must be able to obtain at least an interim secret clearance prior to start.
o Ability to work with minimal detailed direction to deliver desired results.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
o A minimum of 5 years of professional level career experience is preferred.
o Proficiency with electrical parameter measurements typically required for components and subassemblies.
o Proficiency with Radio Frequency or Microwave systems and subsystems.
o Proficiency in developing complex test programs with NI LabVIEW and/or Test Stand development environments.
o Proficiency researching and specifying components for test equipment design.
o Proficiency troubleshooting measurement issues and isolating problems down to the test instrument, fixturing, software level or unit under test.
o Proficiency generating assembly and block diagram sketches, parts lists and other types of engineering documentation.
o Proficiency in Corrective/Preventative action process and implementation.
o Proficiency deriving test requirements from design or system level requirements.
o Proficiency reading, understanding and writing change orders to; assembly drawings and parts lists for test equipment and systems.
o Experience preparing charts and giving presentations outlining technical issues, solutions or trade studies.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline - Electrical, Computer, Computer Science or related field of study or related professional level career experience.
