Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Weight Operations Technical Analyst 3 for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops complex inventory equipment lists, conducts inventories, weighs aircraft, determines center of gravity of aircraft and documents results. Prepares Chapter 2 of the Weight and Balance Manual. Balances flight control surfaces. Calculates/adjusts weight requirements to balance flight control surfaces following repair and/or repaint. Develops flight load planning and directs airplane loading of variable load elements. Inspects aircraft to calculate effects of actual weight and location of variable load elements on airplane gross weight and center of gravity and prepares flight manifests for pilot's signatures and flight release. Weighs and documents actual weights and centers of gravity of components and assemblies. Resolves complex issues with equipment, components and weighing systems. Works under general direction. Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
Experience as load master, familiar with shifting weights, fuel, cargo etc.
Experience performing calculations for finding the center of gravity of the aircraft using AWBS and the supporting charts/ forms.
Experience with weight and balance Forms and Charts including Chart A, Form B, Chart C, Chart E and Form F.
Current access to AWBS (Automated Weight Balance System).
Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Current qualified to perform weight and balance on F-15, F-18, or C-17.
Accredited Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.

EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

TRAVEL: YES
10% or less domestic travel may be required (to JAX).

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
With occasional off-shift work required based on business need.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
