Chipton-Ross is seeking 11 Systems Assembler Cs for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.
This position is 100% ONSITE.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
-Experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications.
-Computer literacy.
- Able to identify common tools.
-1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
-7+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.
-7+ years of aerospace systems experience with hydraulics, ICS, PECS, duct installation, IFE, interior decorative repair, waste and potable water systems.
-Must be proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook, etc.
-Must have demonstrated strong effective communication, work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned task/work.
-Wing Flap and Slat hanging and rigging experience.
-Experience in Seal.
-Wing & engine pylon Hydraulic experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
o Use a computer in a production environment.
o Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
o Install various parts and assemblies such as landing gear, aircraft control surfaces, exterior panels, carpets, blankets, roller trays/ball mats, stowbins, sidewalls, ceiling panels, lavatories, galleys, doors, and seats.
o Install various aircraft system components such as tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, and ducts.
o Appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task you are performing.
o Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g., ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).
o Various tools such as Rivet gun and bucking bar, screwdrivers, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, Winslow, 90-Degree Power Vane, or Quackenbush and various other hand tools.
o Chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes.
o Inspect your work quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
o Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
o Working around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g., circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise.
o Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings or documents.
o Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation.
o The training consists of a combination of instructor-led and web-based training. It includes classroom style and hands-on application to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the material.
-Training Length: Training is a minimum of 10 weeks.
- Completion of training: Contractors who receive 3 or more incompletes during the training flow cycle will be subject to release.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 10+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Aviation experience or completed aviation degrees preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling, Crouching (squatting),
o Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).
o Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds.
o Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, twisting at the waist and walking.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
WORK HOURS:
MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT.
