Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking 20 Assembler C's for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
-Experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications
-Computer literacy
1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
10+ years of on-aircraft heavy structural experience.
5+ years in an MRO/Repair Station/AOG//Travel MODS environment.
5+ years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies.
Must be proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook, etc.
Must have demonstrated strong effective communication, work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned task/work.
Experience understanding and interpreting detailed written and verbal work instructions and processes.
Successful completion and clearance of all screening requirements is a contingency for this assignment.
Ability to identify common tools

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
o Complex production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations.
o Utilization of comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.
o Thorough knowledge of aircraft structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
o Operation of unique aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc.
o Applies professional technical expertise and guidance to execute complex structures work, including but not limited to pull holes, match & back drilling, fastener removals, riveting, sleeve bolt drilling, and system, wire, and tube installations.
o Reads and interprets engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.
o Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits as required for assigned work.

Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.

The training consists of a combination of instructor-led and web-based training. It includes classroom style and hands-on application to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the material.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
10+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.
2+ years of composites experience.
2+ years of Velocity and Radars experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation
Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds
Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, Twisting at the waist and walking.
Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling, Crouching (squatting),
Capable of drilling, reaming, filling, removing and installing fasteners, Shimming, accurately measuring, and documenting data.
Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting)

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.). Education must be accredited.

WORK HOURS: MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT.
