Chipton-Ross is seeking a Penguin B UAV pilot for a contract opportunity in Owego, NY.

This position is 100% onsite.

Part 107 FAA certified Penguin B UAV pilot and maintainer responsible for supporting the development and demonstration team. This position is based out of Owego, NY, and candidate must be willing to travel to demonstration sites around the country for periods of up to three weeks. Responsible for integrating autonomy hardware and software with the Penguin for verification and validation activities; Determines sensing hardware components; Recommends and selects appropriate control systems; Integrates and optimizes the autonomous compute and sensing hardware and software for the Penguin; Solves hardware/software interface problems; Develops plan(s) to integrate autonomous functionality into the Penguin UAV; Develops test plans for validation and verification and procedures for test and evaluation requirements in collaboration with designers and developers; Performs integration testing and coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities for the Penguin UAVs; Documents and conducts analysis of test results and recommends fixes to software, hardware components, subsystems and systems; Interfaces with other teams involved the development lifecycle to coordinate test and demonstration activities.

Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
