Chipton-Ross is seeking 9 Fabrication Specialist Bs for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications
o Computer literacy
o Ability to identify common tools.
o 6 months+ experience with Manufacturing, Fabrication.
o 6 months+ experience/proficiency with typical hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, etc.) Use of high impact vibratory tools.
o 6 months+ of experience with pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
o 6 months+ of experience/ability to perform computer searches to look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
o 6 months+ of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications.
o Conventional material layup, precision measuring, power, pneumatic and hand tools.
o CNC experience.
o Crane Operations experience.
o Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematic and diagrams in aviation.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks. Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains. Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products. Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation. Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.

TRAINING:
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment. The training consists of a combination of instructor-led and web-based training. It includes classroom style and hands-on application to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the material.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK HOURS:
Full Time
MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
