Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Handler I and MRB Coordinator for a contract opportunity in Twinsburg, OH.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Material Handling and MRB Coordinator is responsible for managing non-conforming materials and coordinating MRB (Material Review Board) activities. This dual role ensures that non-conforming products are handled efficiently and accurately, materials are managed in project stockrooms, and repair orders are processed. The position requires coordination across multiple departments to maintain inventory accuracy, facilitate timely material dispositions, and ensure smooth project execution.
**Non-Conforming Material Management:**
- Control and track non-conforming materials within the manufacturing process.
- Maintain the accuracy of identification, count, and location of non-conforming materials.
- Transact materials and physically move parts into designated non-conforming locations.
- Release and move repair orders based on DMR dispositions to appropriate locations for repair.

**Project Material Management**
- Receive and put away incoming project materials into the project stockroom.
- Pull and prepare kits for project work as required.
- Conduct cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory of project materials.

**MRB Coordination**
- Track and manage the status of all in-house MRB material.
- Interface with various departments (Planning, Engineering, Inspection, Purchasing, etc.) to provide status updates on open MRB items and drive closure.
- Ensure all Quality Notifications are processed and dispositioned promptly.
- Process dispositioned material, including returning parts to suppliers, scrapping parts, and verifying completed tasks.
- Run reports to determine priorities for open Quality Notifications (QNs) and assign tasks accordingly.
- Initiate material transfers, report quality issues, and record transactions in SAP to ensure traceability and inventory accuracy.
- Manage purge activities to remove obsolete or non-conforming materials from the production process.

**General Duties**
- Perform any additional projects or duties as assigned by management.
- Collaborate with departments to resolve open issues and improve material handling processes.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous work experience in Manufacturing, Production Planning, Non-conforming Materials, or as a Coordinator for a complex, low-volume OEM manufacturer is desirable.
- Experience with MRB activities, inventory control, and quality assurance processes.
- Relevant work experience (2-4 years) may substitute for educational requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position requires hands-on work in both office and warehouse environments, managing physical materials and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure process integrity and efficiency.

EDUCATION:
Accredited 2-year degree is required; a BS in Engineering or a related field is preferred.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time - Flexible (Start between 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM, ending the day around 4:00 PM or 4:30 PM)

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
