Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineering Technician 1 for a contract opportunity in Goleta, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Participates as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost and scheduling of cross functional space craft teams.
o Participate in the identification of risks and implementation of solutions for a variety of production & process needs
o Hands on activities/tasks may include but are not limited to tool control, establishing 5S systems, supporting Kaizen projects, maintaining cleanliness of work area and facilities, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
o Hands on setup & procurement of equipment, tools, & aids for space craft production work areas
o Support other Industrial Engineers in routine work & assignments.
o Read & teach personal how to interpret basic production KPIs & charts

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 to 4 years of manufacturing (product assembly) experience.
50lb lift requirement clause to match the assembly tech postings that we have at Goleta & Oxnard.
Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
Can read KPIs, data & charts.
Basic data entry.
Must be willing to work overtime as required.
Must possess a valid state driver's license.
Able to read, comprehend and follow established written instructions without deviation.
Perform math and measurement functions.
Collect data and present it in an understandable way.

PREFERRED:
o Powerpoint, Visio
o Working knowledge of SCRUM, Jira or Confluence
o Good communication skills and the ability to work with others
o Good analytic skills
o Good understanding of Lean Principals
o Ability to lead in a team environment
o Good analytic skills

EDUCATION:
High school diploma/GED.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 work week.
: Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
