Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Field Technician for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.

This position will require constant traveling 3-4 weeks at a time.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Unloading & Inventory: Unload trucks, inventory equipment, and stage items for installation.
o Equipment Installation: Position and install UPS units, PDU units, and other critical infrastructure.
o Cabling & Connections: Route and connect server room cables, blue power cables, and install circuit breakers. Perform rack connections and disk deployments as specified.
o Mechanical & Electrical Work: Install and maintain mechanical systems such as air conditioning ductwork, high bay ducting, and GPS antennas. Handle electrical tasks including UPS power-up, circuit breaker installation, and electrical lockout/tagout.
o System Configuration: Complete system integrations including IOS desk configurations, EPO systems, and power verification. Install and configure network components and perform system checks.
o Documentation & Reporting: Mark equipment positions on the floor, complete debriefing tasks, and provide detailed reports on installation progress and issues.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
Must have 2-4 years' experience of the following:
Cabling
Mechanical and Electrical Systems
Read Engineering Schematics
Electronics Circuit card troubleshooting and testing

EDUCATION:
Accredited HSD/GED

WORK HOURS:
Full-time 4/10 work schedule 1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
