Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Test Engineer 3's for a contract opportunity in Linthicum, MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking a Test Engineer to support on-site, dedicated 2nd and 3rd shift and weekend test bench operations for the Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) of a production Space Payload program.

Responsibilities include executing test scripts for the verification of Software, Hardware, and System requirements for applications in Space. Understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) systems, especially RADAR, SIGINT, or COMMS; programming and scripting skills; and, working knowledge of RF test equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, etc.) is desired.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math); or HS diploma with at least 4 years of relevant military experience with sensor system, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance, or military control room console operator; or defense industry work experience with sensor system, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance
o Willingness to work dedicated 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends for several months continuously (2nd shift is typically 1 PM - 10 PM; 3rd shift is typically 9 PM - 6 AM)

PREFERRED:
o Experience with RADAR and/or ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) integration and test
o Experience with Space Payload or Space Vehicle (Satellite) integration and test in a clean room environment
o Programming in C or MATLAB for understanding and editing/improving existing code
o Scripting in Python or Tcl for understanding and editing/improving existing scripts
o Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma is required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 workweek. Job is 100% on site. Willingness to work dedicated 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends for several months continuously (2nd shift is typically 1 PM - 10 PM; 3rd shift is typically 9 PM - 6 AM)

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
