Chipton-Ross is seeking an Environmental Operator for a contract opportunity in Miami, OK.
SUMMARY:
As an Environmental Operator I, you will be responsible for the manufacturing, assembly, and/or packaging of Environmental Vials in a controlled environment. You will carry out the production process by closely following the Standard Operating Procedures, work instruction documents, and blueprints or drawings as they relate to assembly, materials handling, equipment operation, and finished goods packaging.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Work safely following all safety requirements
o Work diligently, following work instruction documents and standard operating procedures
o Use your strong attention to detail to assemble products following guidelines, blueprints and drawings closely
o Record correct and accurate documentation in Production Control Documents
o Inspect in-process and finished products as well as package and pull from archives for product sampling.
o Help us get better by actively participating in our PPI (Practical Process Improvements), Lean and Continuous Improvement activities including 5S activities
o Help our team to do better by assisting in training co-workers
o Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Up to 6 months of work experience in manufacturing/production is preferred.
o All employees must be able to read and follow instructions both written and oral
o Strong attention to detail
o Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
o Strong verbal/written communication skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
o Ability to infrequently lift and manipulate up to 40 pounds unassisted
o Ability to stand and move about including reaching, bending, stooping, grasping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion
o Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and understand chemical hygiene, including labels and SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
o Flexibility/willingness to adapt to operational needs
o Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced controlled environment with additional overtime as required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
o Regular exposure to wet and/or humid conditions as well as moving mechanical parts.
o Specific PPE is required; including gloves, hair & beard net, safety glasses with no makeup/jewelry, and the like.
EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time; 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
