Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking 8 Assembler C's for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will provide critical production support to Final Assembly and field operations including improving production efficiency, safety and optimizing product quality.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Creates culture that enhances productivity, safety and a teaming environment.
oWorks cross-functionally to identify opportunities for improvement.
oEnsure LOTO book, kit and LOTO equipment are used correctly and inventoried.
o Coordinates with Lead/Manager on execution and critical path of production build Group

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Supervising Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
o Review current LOTOs
o Coordinating hazardous energy work
o Hand off or end-of-shift activities
o Abnormal circumstance responses
o Verifies Aircraft power can be safely provided to the airplane.
o Inventory LOTO Kits Pre and Post shift
o Sign into all LOTOs.
o Remove any LOTOs from the book as required
o Meets with the work team to evaluate where hazardous energy is to be introduced
o Coordinating with Functional Test SMEs and ME's
o If work continues - coordinate hand-off with the next GC.
o If work shuts down - coordinate preparation for power shut down.
o Review status of personnel and airplane system configuration.
o Transfer LOTOs to the incoming GC's and the Field as required
o Sign out of all open Control Log Sheets (X35681)
o Verifies all mechanics are signed out of active LOTOs.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
-Experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications
-Computer literacy
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment. Regular and predictable attendance is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o Minimum of 3 years' experience with Field Operations/Aircraft Systems/LOTO.
o Minimum of 3 years' experience within aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing.
o Minimum of 3 years' experience in advising and influencing others to meet quality and safety requirements or resolve technical or operational problems.
o Minimum of 3 years' experience with Systematic Problem Solving and Standardized Work.
o 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.

TOP 3-5 TECHNICAL/SOFTWARE SKILLS:
o ABILITY to work with various wiring design drawings including system interconnects, wire routing and equipment installation drawings
o ABILITY to utilize and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications

EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.). Education must be accredited.

FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT
WORK HOURS: These positions are variable shifts, contractors must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
