Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Manufacturing Technician 2 for a contract opportunity in Goleta, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.
o Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.
o Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
o Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
o Handling and managing fragile composite materials.
o Bond, prep and bonding of composite structures to metallic fittings.
o Notate usage, traceability, pot life, and out time controls on all adhesive materials used.
o Report data and interface with other employees and departments.
o Tooling preparation and release application.
o Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, rulers, and tape measures for fabricating hardware.
o Reading and understanding manufacturing blue prints and shop planning
o Assist in maintaining overall shop appearance and cleanliness.

REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of additional education and/or related experience for this position.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma/GED required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 workweek. Position is for 2nd shift. 1:30 pm to 11:00 pm , working Friday is 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
: Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
