Once new contractor is settled into role-schedule will be Monday through Wednesday in office, Thursday would be remote (work from home).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Applicant should be a proven problem solver who can multi-task in a complex interrelated environment. The ideal person would possess superior skills of troubleshooting electronics assemblies, written/verbal communication and preferably working knowledge of PAC-3 products. Relationship building and influential leadership are critical characteristics to be successful in this role as they would be required to coordinate multiple tasks across numerous multi-disciplinary teams simultaneously. Further, the individual must be able to identify technical issues as they arise and recommend the appropriate solution. A thorough understanding of company processes and procedures is required. Thorough knowledge of the Engineering Change Process and Material Review Board processes is desirable. The candidate will also provide technical oversight and monitoring of a major subcontractor (supplier). This oversight includes providing status of Vendor activities, evaluating Vendor proposals for technical compliance, evaluating Vendor engineering change proposals, completing technical evaluations of technical non-conformances, and participating in failure investigations associated with the non-conformances at the vendor. A technical understanding PAC-3 products, tools and processes is desired but not required.
o Primary technical contact for the responsible PAC-3 electronics hardware
o Lead failure investigation, root cause and corrective action; and provide technical disposition/recommendation for production hardware.
o Present technical issues to program leadership and occasionally to SHIELD, ensuring accurate and appropriate presentations
o Coordinate activities between production sites and the program to clear constraints to DD250
o Coordinate changes to the existing Technical Data Package to meet program and/or customer needs. Present the changes to the change review boards.
o Coordinate the activities of suppliers in conjunction with Sub-Contracts Management to support overall program goals
o Support Obsolescence Planning and Coordination
o technical oversight of a major subcontractor.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in electrical hardware design for both development and production phases in aerospace or a similar industry.
- Ability to interpret and read complex electrical schematics for circuit cards assemblies (CCA).
- Experience using electrical/electronic test equipment such as DMMs, Oscilloscopes, and automated testing equipment for troubleshooting circuit card assemblies and other electrical hardware.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented with a focus on process and quality.
- Ability to travel approx. 10% of time domestically.
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with developing engineering estimates for proposals and reviewing suppliers' estimates.
- Certified or working knowledge of Control Account Management (CAM)
- Experience working with suppliers and leading suppliers during failure investigation
- Strong background in cross-discipline systems engineering practices including requirements development/maintenance, architecture, hardware/software design, integration and verification
- Previous experience in a Material Review Board (MRB) role, particularly in a production setting.
- Experience working non-conformance disposition of hardware for production.
- Prior experience of PAC-3 program, Production processes, Failure Investigation, Root Cause and Corrective Actions

Accredited Bachelor's Degree
