Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electrical Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity San Diego, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 12 years of relevant experience; OR master's in electrical engineering with 10 years of relevant experience.
o Experience with schematic capture and board layout using Altium Designer.
o Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot/repair mixed circuit CCAs.
o Experience with test equipment such as multimeter, O-scope, signal generator, DC/AC power supplies, and network analyzer.
o Experience with design, development, and troubleshooting of NI LabView and NI Teststand Software.
o Experience with IPC and Military standards.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking for a STAFF Electrical Engineer to support the Circuit Design organization.
Statement of work includes providing leadership and mentoring in addition to being an individual performer with responsibilities including but not limited to detailed electrical mixed circuit design, circuit level analysis, support qualification testing, preparing of test procedures and reports, LabView design, and supporting hardware production manufacturing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on mixed circuit design.
o Experience using FPGA, CPLD and micro-controllers.
o Experience with development and design of automated test equipment.
o Experience with OrCAD, Pspice, LTspice, or MATLAB Simulink for circuit simulation.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:
9/80 workweek.



Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
