Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Inertial Tracking Engineering for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.

This position is 100% onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
They should be comfortable developing and presenting technical material to internal leadership and external customers. They must be a highly motivated, self-starter who is comfortable multi-tasking across a number of programmatic and technical responsibilities. The candidate should be capable of working in a collegial team environment among subject matter experts coming from a variety of academic backgrounds. They should also desire to work towards becoming a technical subject matter expert in algorithm development.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o 5-8 Years of experience with developing and analyzing algorithms related to inertial tracking and navigation
o 5-8 Years of experience with in one or more of the following programming languages: C++, Matlab, Python

DEISRED REQUIREMENTS:
o Experience with linear algebra software packages
o Strong programming skills that can translate to C++ development in a Linux environment
o Experience deploying algorithms that satisfy real-time performance requirements
o Experience deploying complex algorithms in embedded systems
o Experience developing algorithms using artificial intelligence / machine learning (AI/ML) techniques
o Knowledge of electro-optical/infrared detection (EOIR) technology, optics, and principles of radiometry
o Demonstrated expertise in developing and analyzing algorithms related to navigation and inertial tracking
o Professional experience and demonstrated proficiency in math as it relates to Kalman filtering, optimal state estimation, linear algebra, probability and statistics, and multivariate calculus
o Familiarity with clutter rejection techniques
o Knowledge and experience with modeling and simulation of EOIR systems.

EDUCATION:
Accredited degree(s) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 4/10 work schedule 1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
