Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Components Engineer IV for a hybrid contract opportunity in Westford, MA.

This position requires to be onsite 3 days a week and one day remote. This is subject to change.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Component Engineering Experience.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Researching component termination styles, plastic encapsulation styles and component construction processes
Generation of Vendor Identification Drawings, Source Control Drawings and Altered Item Drawings.
Lead component part standardization, part selection
Process change notices in PTC windchill for Part Bill of Materials & maintaining the engineering BOM in accordance with Client processes.
Develop component qualification test plans and execute part qualifications with Test houses.
Develop component screenings for parts as directed by Parts Management Process plan.
Interface with customers to present part changes and impact to hardware.
Lead Component Failure Investigations as needed.
Participate in qualifying alternate test houses for part finish mitigations & part qualification.
Research and determine impact of PCN's and obsolescence on the programs.
Mentoring less experienced engineers with parts knowledge.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelors Degree

Full-Time
4/10 work schedule
