Chipton Ross is seeking a Construction/Special Inspector for a direct hire opportunity in Louisville, KY.

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Construction Inspector II, you will be responsible for ensuring contractor compliance with contract specifications, conducting diverse inspections, documenting construction progress, collaborating with project stakeholders, interpreting complex drawings, providing regular client updates, expanding inspection knowledge, and adhering to safety standards and assigned duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect work performed by contractor/s is in compliance with the contract documents.
- Perform special inspections on masonry, structural steel, deep foundations, concrete repair, and modifications to existing structures.
- Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for/or related to civil infrastructure and water/wastewater facilities.
- Collaborate with other field representatives/report to project managers.
- Read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents or site conflicts.
- Update client with weekly reports.
- Be willing to learn and expand inspection knowledge in multiple disciplines of engineering and special inspections to ensure construction is in accordance with design documents, specifications, and approved shop drawings.
- Adhere to all safety standards and contractual commitments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION:
Accredited high school diploma required

WORK HOURS:
First shift, Full time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
